I have previously written a post with reasons why people choose me to provide their house cleaning service. But for balance, here are the reasons why people choose NOT to use me based on previous feedback.....

She's too busy - I regularly receive outstanding feedback and 5-star reviews, with the majority of my work coming from referrals from happy, satisfied clients. As a well-respected and highly sought-after professional, it's no surprise that I'm always in demand and have a waiting list, even with other cleaners and companies available. Many of my clients have chosen to wait several months to book my services, rather than opting for someone who could start right away. At times, even I wonder why they're willing to wait so long, but it all comes down to my reputation, exceptional reviews and the word of mouth recommendations from so many. I take immense pride in my work. My business values including high standards, communication, flexibility, trust and going the extra mile are what attract clients and make the wait worthwhile.
The cleaner down the road is cheaper - I'll be the first to admit that I'm not the cheapest cleaner in the area, but I believe in earning a fair living wage. I don't cut corners by using cheap, harmful products or compromising on health and safety. My rates allow me to make a modest profit while keeping my business sustainable. They reflect my commitment to quality, ethical practices and investment in comprehensive training and premium, eco-friendly products, all of which set me apart in an unregulated industry. I also understand that when my clients pay me, it's money they've worked hard for, so I make sure to work hard for it in return. My clients deserve nothing less than the best service, based on the time and effort it truly takes. If you're seeking high quality work, opting for the lowest price isn't the way to go. Pay a fair and reasonable amount for an amazing service that you won't regret, rather than paying less and ending up unhappy. My reputation speaks for itself, and my testimonials say it all. I'm in high demand, I respect your home and I take pride in my work. Remember, when you go cheap, you often end up paying twice.
She only cleans posh houses and might judge me - While my primary income these days comes from cleaning and housekeeping in large private homes, I've worked in all kinds of environments. I'm non-judgmental, mental health friendly and have cleaned up everything from biohazardous materials like bodily fluids, vomit, faeces, blood, urine and animal waste, to drug paraphernalia, needles, mould and nicotine stains. I've cleaned hoarder's homes, drug dens, properties damaged by tenants, fire-damaged homes, unattended death scenes and much more. Honestly - I've seen it all! I often hear from people wanting a cleaning service but feeling too embarrassed to ask for help. I never want anyone to feel that way. I'm frequently told, "I bet your home is spotless" and while sometimes it is, other times I too struggle, and my house can be a complete mess! Many of my clients have beautiful homes and I love sharing photos to show the incredible transformations I've achieved, but guess what? Even they hire a cleaning service! We're all overworked, tired and doing our best to navigate life as positively as we can. If housework has slipped through the cracks, I won't judge you. You'll only get empathy and a strong desire to help from me.
She uses that eco-friendly rubbish instead of good old fashioned bleach - Some cleaners may show up at your door with a cheap bottle of bleach and call themselves 'professionals'. While that may have been acceptable decades ago, cleaning methods have evolved, and so have the products. I've previously explained in detail why I don't use bleach as a standard cleaning product and instead choose eco-friendly, sustainable alternatives. I won't go into all the reasons again but simply put, bleach can pose serious risks to both your health and your home. There are far better, safer options available, and I'll never compromise on the quality of the products I use just to boost profits. So no, I won't leave your home smelling like harsh, cheap bleach. I'll leave it smelling like a 5-star spa.
She's too thorough - I could clean your house in just a couple of hours (in fact, I could probably do it in under an hour), but I won't. There's a big difference between the quick clean we give our own homes and a high quality, thorough, professional cleaning service. Some people may be looking for a fast, budget friendly cleaner who just wipes down the bathroom and quickly vacuums - and that's fine if that's all you need. However, I aim to deliver the best service possible with every clean, so I don't base my services on a client's suggested timescale. Instead, I base it on how long it takes to clean your home to a standard that I'm proud to put my name on - one that's truly worth paying for.
Moral of the story - You will always be 'too much' for some people. To others, you are perfect. Fall in love with your home again. I'm at the other side of the phone.
