Many homes are 'surface clean', where you might walk in and think, 'it's not that dirty', but then spend 10-15 hours deep cleaning the same house. That's not excessive, nor does it mean the house is filthy. It simply means I'm cleaning areas that often go unnoticed. I take lots of photos during the process because I frequently clean things clients didn't even realise were dirty. Even if you can't see it, it's still important to clean it. For instance, a shower drain clogged with grime and hair can slow the water flow, leaving water sitting in the tray longer, leading to watermarks, limescale and odours. Dust that builds up in overlooked areas, like blinds, ceilings and woodwork, can end up falling back onto freshly cleaned surfaces. Windows too, require time and precision, especially if their frames and tracks need cleaning. While blinds or curtains often cover windows, when I lift them, I frequently find dust, black mould, handprints, dog nose marks and more. This grime needs to be removed. Many people spend a lot of money on blinds and shutters, so they want them cleaned during the deep clean. This is a time consuming task when done properly, especially for kitchen and bathroom blinds, where it may look like just dust but is actually sticky due to condensation, grease and moisture build-up. These blinds need scrubbing to remove the grime.

My one-off deep cleans are designed for those who can maintain their general cleaning but occasionally need a thorough clean throughout the house. This might include tasks like cleaning skirting boards, door frames, kitchen cupboards, windows and their frames, and moving smaller furniture to clean behind. These deep cleans are booked on an ad-hoc basis and depend on availability. I pride myself on tailoring each deep clean to your home - after all, no two homes are the same, and neither are you. Because of this, they are priced on a quotation basis, but I can provide a guide price. It's also a great opportunity for us to meet in person and discuss your specific needs. I'll always take the time to talk to you about your priorities and any areas you want to focus on. If you're unsure, I'll use my professional judgment to ensure nothing is missed. As long as it's safe, I'm happy to clean anything and everything.

Deep cleans are much more time consuming and thorough, so my timed deep clean packages range from 6 hours to over 20 hours, depending on the level of cleaning required. There's no quick fix when it comes to deep cleaning, and if a home has been neglected, it will take time and patience to restore. In cases of severe build-up, there may be lasting damage and despite my best efforts, achieving perfection may not always be possible.

That said, the smaller packages still deliver great results, and the larger packages don't mean you're living in poor conditions. Everyone's situation is different, and I'm not here to judge anyone! Once we've discussed your needs, I'll provide a detailed written quotation to ensure everything is covered.

Booking a professional deep clean doesn't commit you to an ongoing cleaning schedule. Sometimes, all you need is a full house reset to get you back to a good starting point, allowing you to maintain it yourself going forward. It's never as bad as it seems, and even with my minimum package, the mental relief can be life-changing. When it's our own space, we often blow things out of proportion in our heads, but the results are usually less overwhelming than we think! I use professional grade products to ensure your home is not only shiny but also hygienic. Don't hesitate to ask me any questions before booking - I'll always be open, honest and realistic about what you can expect.

You might wonder why deep cleans cost more than standard cleans. The answer is simple - more equipment, more products and more time. Deep cleans are far more time consuming, extremely thorough and involve cleaning every inch of your home, especially the areas you don't see or realise need cleaning. Exceptional cleaning is all about the small details - the edges, behind, underneath - those often forgotten or overlooked spots that don't get attention in a quick clean.

Deep cleans are also a great option for those thinking about selling their home. A clean home not only looks more inviting but can also increase the value of your property. Buyers are more likely to take notice of a clean, fresh and airy space, and it could make a significant difference in how quickly and for how much your home sells. Often a professional clean can help you make more profit when you sell, as buyers can be put off by dirt and grime. Your goal as a seller is to present your house in the best possible condition, and deep cleaning plays a vital role in brightening up your home and making it feel larger. If you're pressed for time or simply don't want to do all the work yourself, I can help you showcase your property in the best light. Contact me today to learn more about how I can assist in preparing your home for a successful sale.
