Deep Clean Packages

Many homes are what I call politely presentable. You walk in, glance around and think, "Well, it's not that bad". And it isn't. Not until you start the kind of deep clean that has you muttering at skirting boards like a character in a Victorian novel. Ten to fifteen hours later, you realise the truth: the house was never 'dirty', it was simply hiding things in plain sight.

This isn't excessive. It isn't a judgment. It's just the quiet reality of the unseen. I take a lot of photos during deep cleans - not for dramatic before and after bragging rights, but because clients genuinely don't realise how much accumulates in the places our eyes edit out (our brains are wonderfully optimistic that way). Just because you can't see something doesn't mean it isn't quietly plotting chaos.

Take the humble shower drain. When it's clogged with hair and soap scum, water lingers in the tray like it's on holiday. That lingering leads to limescale, watermarks and if left long enough, odours that could frighten the dog. Dust on blinds, ceilings and woodwork eventually pirouettes down onto freshly cleaned surfaces. And windows? They're a whole novella of their own. Lift the blinds or curtains and you'll often find dust, handprints, dog nose smudges and the occasional cameo by black mould. Someone somewhere paid a small fortune for those blinds or shutters, so naturally they want them cleaned properly - not the quick swipe that spreads the dirt around like butter on cold toast, but the full scrub, especially in kitchens and bathrooms where 'just dust' is actually sticky grease playing dress-up.

This is why my one-off deep cleans exist. They're designed for people who keep on top of the day to day but occasionally want the whole house brought back to square one: skirting boards, door frames, cupboard fronts (and insides, if needed), windows, frames, tracks, behind furniture - those corners where dust bunnies dare to dream. Every deep clean is completely bespoke because no two homes are the same, and neither are their humans.

These cleans are booked on an ad-hoc basis and priced individually, though I'm always happy to give a guide figure. A quotation visit is also a chance for us to meet, wander through your home and talk about what matters most to you. If you already know your priorities - brilliant. If you're not sure, I'll use my professional judgement to build a plan that leaves nothing neglected. And as long as it's safe, I'm happy to clean pretty much anything you point at (or confess to).
