A Customisable Housekeeping Service

Why do I market myself as a housekeeper rather than a cleaner? The simple answer is with the service I offer, I do a lot more than just cleaning if required. I am a 'keeper' of my client's homes. I am happy to do anything under the housekeeping arm in the time I have allocated, to make life run more smoothly for you, in and around your home. So for example, that may be a quick clean and tidy around all of the rooms. It may be a deep clean of the kitchen this week and one of the bedrooms the following week. It could be to change your bedding and pop some washing on. Or perhaps the woodwork could do with a wash or maybe you need help to organise and declutter. I also provide special antibacterial cleans for those who perhaps have a low immune system due to ongoing treatments. With a background in visual merchandising, my passion for creating clean, organised and inviting environments extends beyond surface level cleaning. I believe in a holistic approach that considers not just cleanliness, but also the comfort and wellbeing of my clients.

I am very flexible in my approach and I understand that no two homes are the same and no two visits need to be either. However if you love structure, I will provide the same service week after week. My service is designed in such a way, that it is tailored to your needs and requirements and is as flexible as it can be. Rule of thumb is to always ask so I can do my best to accommodate. As you can imagine, every domestic client has different needs and requirements so their package is tailored to them. What is achieved in a clean for one client may be completely different to another, depending on what those two different clients want me to do or concentrate on in that time.

Time spent in a home can look very different from one home to another. For some it's help with clutter and organisation in order to help clean an area. Another may require more of a general clean of the whole house with occasional deep cleaning. They can keep most items in order and don't need help with organisation. For others, life has got in the way and they have fallen a little behind when it comes to housework. These are the homes that I work around room by room, deep cleaning to a standard that can then be maintained going forwards. Then there is the home that to many would seem perfect but to the owners, it's this way because everything is meticulously clean, shined and attention to detail is of the utmost importance. For them, my visits are about maintaining this high standard of immaculate cleaning and presentation. Perhaps a client is elderly or less capable of physically pushing a heavy vacuum around or going up and down the stairs. For some, the budget on hours is set and as many rooms as possible need to be turned around, with perhaps not so much attention to detail, just so long as it's clean.

For these reasons and so many more, I never compare homes. Whatever my client's requirements, I always work with them to achieve their housekeeping needs. Some have 3 hours a week and others have 12 but with all, I work out how best to divide my time to maximise output. This can be a fine balance as I will not lower my high standards and professionalism. That said, the majority of client's high traffic areas are a priority (bathrooms and kitchens) as these take the most time to clean and require the most physical effort. Other important areas include dusting and vacuuming, ensuring I am not just running the vacuum down the middle but getting to all the edges too.

Every client's circumstances, together with their individual needs are assessed and constantly reassessed. I learn about each individual client and their own personal requirements to help make their home run smoothly, relieve stress and create a calm environment.
