A signature approach to elevated, intentional home care. Housekeeping, when done well, is a quiet art. It is not simply the act of cleaning surfaces or moving clutter from one place to another. It is the practice of reshaping an environment so it feels calm, elevated and deeply intentional. The Broadland Housekeeping Method is my proprietary approach that brings together the precision of luxury hotel housekeeping with the gentleness and discretion of private domestic care. It's a method designed to honour both the home and the people who live within it.

Step 1. Observation & Preparation - Every home has its own atmosphere and each room within it carries a unique energy. Before reaching for any tools or products, I begin with observation. I take a moment to understand the room's current condition - how the light moves through it, whether the air feels still or needs refreshing, how the furnishings sit and what the space seems to require. This deliberate pause matters. It ensures that the process isn't rushed or ritualistic but guided by the genuine needs of the environment. Observing first allows every action that follows to be mindful and purposeful.
Step 2. Systematic Housekeeping Flow - Once the room has been assessed, the work begins with a consistent, methodical flow. The Broadland Housekeeping Method relies on a left to right, top to bottom approach that creates structure within the process. This sequence is more than a habit - it's a safeguard. By following the same directional flow each time, no detail is overlooked, no area is unintentionally skipped and no extra time is wasted retracing steps. This structured rhythm helps the room settle into order naturally. When the flow is predictable, the results become beautifully reliable and every space ends up feeling intentionally reset rather than simply tidied.
Step 3. Material-Safe Cleaning - A fundamental pillar of the Broadland Housekeeping Method is respecting the materials within a home. Modern interiors include a wide range of finishes, from natural stone to engineered surfaces to delicate specialist coatings, each requiring its own thoughtful approach. Using the wrong product can dull, stain or permanently damage a finish, so every cleaning choice is made with intention. I select products based on compatibility, ensuring that stone remains sealed and protected, sensitive finishes retain their sheen and all surfaces are cared for in a way that preserves their longevity. This material-safe focus elevates the level of housekeeping from routine to truly conscientious.
Step 4. Finishing Touches - The final stage of the Broadland Housekeeping Method is where the personality of the home is gently restored. Once the cleaning is complete, I add subtle finishing touches that bring the space to life - cushions are plumped and placed with care, textiles are aligned to create visual harmony and a light, considered fragrance is introduced to refresh the atmosphere. These details may seem small, but they have a profound effect on how a room feels the moment you walk into it. It's this final layer - delicate, thoughtful and quietly luxurious, that transforms housekeeping into an experience rather than a task.
